Meet the Trainers Behind Follow My Lead

Ashley has been working around dogs her entire adult life, which left her with a passion for training and well behaved dogs. She attended her first obedience class in 2012 and since then has branched out into AKC Conformation, Rally  Obedience, Canine Good Citizen and Field tests and is actively competing in Conformation, Rally and Field tests with her German Shorthaired Pointers. She is a certified Pet Trainer and has been training professionally since 2015. Her main focus is on teaching owners to set consistent boundaries and expectations for behavior, while adding some fun to the training routine.

Mary is a dog enthusiast who has earned titles in Rally Obedience and Canine Good Citizen competitions with her Rottweiler, Betty. She is currently expanding her horizons by participating in Conformation shows and Hunt Tests with her GSP, Frank. Mary's primary objective is to establish consistency and a rewarding relationship between dogs and their handlers through training. Mary is currently an Associate Instructor and is looking forward to helping people achieve their training goals.

Chris has always loved dogs. She took her first class with her first puppy in 2013, but it wasn't until she started taking classes with her most recent dog, Charlie, that she became interested in dog training. Chris and Charlie are learning to work together and are working towards competing. Chris is welcoming a new GSP puppy into her home early 2025 and will be competing in conformation, rally and hunt tests with the puppy. enjoys helping other owners and their dogs connect with training to help the dog be a well mannered companion.

Rebecca has always been a dog person in some capacity: from pushing her first pug puppy around the neighborhood in a stroller to studying Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University. She believes the human-animal bond is a beautiful thing and enjoys seeing people foster that relationship with their dogs (and other pets!) Rebecca's particular interest in dog sports and training started when she welcomed Ginny, a Standard Poodle, into the family. Since that time, Rebecca and Ginny have earned VHM, CGC, and TKN titles. They are working up the nerve to compete in their first in-person Rally obedience trials this spring and summer. In addition to the above, Rebecca and Ginny have participated in beginner agility, competition obedience, and hunting classes. They both enjoy long walks on the beach. No really, the local beaches are one of their favorite places to practice!
