Intermediate Classes-
Build Reliability. Add Distraction.

Intermediate Classes are designed for teams who understand the basics and are ready to increase reliability in real-world environments. You’ll refine core skills, strengthen impulse control, and learn how to handle distractions with greater clarity, consistency, and confidence.

The Next Level —                               8 weeks | $225

Next Level

Once your dog understands the basics, the next step is turning those skills into precision, reliability, and consistency — especially around real-world distractions.

Our The Next Level class is designed for dogs who already have a solid foundation and are ready to refine their training. This class strengthens core obedience, introduces more advanced handling skills, and builds reliability so behaviors hold up in more challenging environments. The emphasis is on clearer communication, better teamwork, and thoughtful decision-making from both dog and handler.

Goals

The goal of The Next Level is to help dogs:

  • Strengthen reliability on known cues

  • Perform behaviors with greater precision and clarity

  • Maintain focus and engagement around distractions

  • Build longer duration and distance on stays

  • Improve handler responsiveness to subtle cues

  • Develop confidence in more complex training scenarios

Our Approach for This Class

The Next Level blends structured obedience with real-world proofing so teams move from “capable” to truly reliable.

Training emphasizes:

  • Clear communication and consistent expectations

  • Progressive challenges that increase duration, distance, and distraction

  • Thoughtful reinforcement for calm, correct choices

  • Guided practice in increasingly realistic environments

  • Improved handler timing, mechanics, and clarity

This approach helps dogs understand not just what to do, but how to perform behaviors reliably in different contexts.

How It Works

The Next Level is an 8-week group class that builds progressively from week to week with higher expectations and more challenging environments.

This class includes:

  • Eight (8) one-hour group training sessions

  • Skills and concepts including:

    • Straight Sits and Downs with Distractions

    • Stay with Distance and Duration

    • Leave It (dropped and moving objects)

    • Heel Work

    • Hand Signals

    • Proofing skills in more stimulating environments

  • Practice with controlled, gradually increasing distractions

  • Coaching for handlers on timing, mechanics, and clarity

  • Weekly practice guidelines to support consistency at home

Rein It In! —                                     8 weeks | $250

Rein It In!

Many dogs struggle not because they “don’t know” their cues, but because they have a hard time managing excitement, stress, or distraction in real life.

Our Rein It In! class is designed to help dogs develop better emotional regulation, impulse control, and practical home-management skills. This is a foundational skill-building class — not a behavior-modification or problem-solving program. Instead, the focus is on giving handlers clear tools, structured practice, and real-world strategies that support dogs who may become over-aroused, distracted, or mildly reactive in everyday environments.

Goal

The goal of Rein It In! is to help dogs:

  • Learn how to stay calmer and more thoughtful around distractions

  • Improve impulse control and self-regulation

  • Develop stronger focus and engagement with their handler

  • Respond more reliably to known cues in real-world situations

  • Make better choices in exciting or stressful environments

  • Build a foundation that supports dogs who struggle with arousal or mild reactivity

Our Approach for This Class

Rein It In! blends structured obedience, emotional regulation work, and practical management strategies so dogs learn how to think before they react.

Training emphasizes:

  • Clear communication and consistent expectations

  • Teaching dogs to disengage from distractions rather than fixate

  • Building calm behavior through structured duration work

  • Helping handlers recognize arousal, manage environments, and intervene effectively

  • Reinforcing thoughtful, controlled responses rather than impulsive reactions

This approach gives both dog and handler a stronger “toolbox” for navigating everyday challenges with greater confidence and clarity.

Rein It In! is an 8-week group class that progressively builds emotional control, focus, and real-world reliability.
